TITLE: SNOWMAN

1st Place

What Szymon says

Just a happy snowman.

What our jury says

Frank WANG Yefeng: Szymon's snowman puts a smile on your face. Its innocent facial expression, the warm sunlight, and the sprouting grass suggest a wonderful aura of positivity. The author's brilliant craft is clearly reflected in the image's texture, material, and depth of field. The snowman's friendly gesture and the soft doll-like materiality bring a very inviting atmosphere to the viewers in the composition.

Corona Renderer Team: Again, I love wholesome images! This one is so bright and cheerful and full of joy. The lighting and snow really capture the feel of a cold winter's day, but our knitted snowman is still rosy-cheeked and smiling!

HDR Light Studio: For me the most photographic of the entries, with a lovely atmosphere. The lighting and materials are first class. A perfect happy Christmas Card image.

TITLE: A Tale From Snow

2nd Place

What Steffen says

Deep in this snowy forest lies a treasure. Hidden in a cave guarded by monsters with black arms and legs. Listen Kid and be careful, one of those beasts is something very ... very special.

What our jury says

Miho Aoki: We shouldn't show this image to younger kids. The dirty bumpy look of old snow makes this snowman more terrifying and haunting. The picture shows a scary moment from a very low and tilted angle. It makes me wonder whose point of view this is. Is it from a hidden camera or someone attacked and fallen on the ground? The camera angle certainly adds a sense of mystery and suspense to the image.

Frank WANG Yefeng:The vivid movement is the reason why Steffen’s image is selected. The artist has a remarkable ability to transmit such a sense of urgent emotion through a still image.

HDR Light Studio:Great composition, modelling, materials and lighting. Like a still from a horror movie, I love this evil spider snowman hunting down the child. An image full of drama and excitement.

Grant Abbitt:Fun scene with a great idea. Well composed and visually striking. Has a good energy to it.

TITLE: Sweet Winter Forest

3rd Place

What Tatiana says

New Year video card. This is a fantasy on the theme of the New Year and tea with sweets.

What our jury says

Miho Aoki: This winter landscape looks like it's made with confectioners' sugar and white meringue! Snow doesn't look realistic snow, and it looks more like cake icing and confectioners' sugar, but that's why this image stood out. There are so many details to explore. The landscape looks so sweet and cute!

Grant Abbitt: Another great idea which captures the nostalgia and atmosphere of winter time. The textures work to give a soft fluffiness to the scene

Pilgway Team: Cool idea, composition and render!
