Cost estimator formula
CPU Regions:
(Unit price x Cores)x(1+ RAM Increased)x Render time + Software license fee
GPU Regions:
(Unit card price x Cards x Performance parameter )x(1+RAM Increased)x Render time + Software license fee
Glossary
- Unit price: Your current CPU unit price.
- Cores: the nodes' cores distributed during rendering.
Default RAM cost is based on 64GB RAM, 128GB RAM and 256GB RAM are optional with extra cost.
- 128GB: CPU regions increased by 20%; GPU regions increased by 20%
- 256GB: CPU regions increased by 40%; GPU regions increased by 40%
- Unit card price: The default GPU unit price is based on 2 cards node, the price for a single card node is half of the default unit price while the price of a quadruple card node is double the default unit price.
- Render time: the render time to complete one frame.
- Software license fee: For some customized software, additional software licensing fees are required.
Other instructions
- When you choose Default, the job will randomly allocate nodes for rendering, and the deduction will be based on the actual configuration.
- If the memory is changed from 64GB RAM to 128GB/256GB RAM while rendering, the unstarted frames will be charged according to the price of 128GB/256GB nodes.
- While rendering, only the memory configuration can be upgraded, and cannot be downgraded after the upgrade.
- There are tasks using Redshift 2.5.X and the Fstorm plug-ins can only choose 1080Ti nodes configuration.
