3D Tutorial | How to Make a Gun in Blender

In this article, the CG industry's leading cloud rendering service provider and render farm, Fox Renderfarm is going to share with you a 3D tutorial on creating a gun model in Blender.
Design Stage
Start by sketching a bunch of random and abstract firearms. They should have a sense of weapon-grade, ranging from handguns to submachine guns to assault rifles, and even sniper rifles. Add in grenades, smoke bombs, flashbangs, and various mechanical components to inspire us.

Refining the Sketch
Here, I have chosen a relatively simple handgun. If, during the design process, you feel that the rhythm and flow of your design are lacking, iterate on your design. Self-criticism during the design process is a very gratifying process.
Simplify and refine the sketch, add some color, and add some shading. This level of detail is sufficient to express your ideas.

Creating the Model
Import the side view of the handgun sketch into Blender and start filling in the remaining details based on the design.

Material Details
Apply different colors to create simple material differentiations.
Use decalmachine and kitops to add details to the model.

Lighting and Rendering
Use the classic three-point lighting technique to properly light the scene. And for the final showcase, utilize a spotlight.
Add volumetric fog to enhance the environmental texture.
Once everything is set up, proceed with the rendering output.

The above is the main content of this Blender tutorial. You can also add some graphic layout elements to your completed design, such as personal information and project details, to give your design a more stylish look.
If you want to improve the speed of Blender rendering, you can try using a cloud rendering service such as Fox Renderfarm to speed up the rendering output of your project.
