The latest trailer for superhero movie Blue Beetle has been released by DC and it will hit theaters on August 18. Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes) is a superhero from the DC Comics franchise who made his first official appearance in Infinite Crisis in 2006. The film is directed by Angel Manuel Soto from a screenplay by Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer.
Xolo Maridueña, who plays the protagonist Jaime Reyes, is DC's first Latino superhero, and the movie also features other Latino actors, such as Adriana Barraza (as Jaime's grandmother), Damián Alcázar (as Jaime's father), and Elpidia Carrillo (as Jaime's mother). With a lovely Latino family, we can see how important family is to Blue Beetle.

The film tells the story of Jaime Reyes, who returns to his hometown after college, but he is selected by Scarab, an ancient relic of alien biotechnology, to become its symbiotic host, and as a result, he gains the powers that make him a superhero, Blue Beetle. Since then, his destiny has changed.
