Annecy 2025 Interview: Inside Kids’ Animation with Elena Shchichkina & Fox Renderfarm

With over six years of experience in animation production, Elena Shchichkina specializes in producing high-quality children’s animated projects. Best known for her work on the beloved global hit “Masha and the Bear”, as well as its theatrical releases “The Legend of the 12 Months” and “Skazhite <Oy!>”, her expertise includes original IP development, full-cycle production, and international licensing. This year, she founded Live and Create Studio, where she continues to be a dynamic leader in the global animation industry. In this interview with Fox Renderfarm, a leading cloud rendering services provider and render farm in the industry, Elena shares her journey from studio producer to independent studio founder, diving deep into her experience with Fox Renderfarm and how cloud rendering has supported her creative process and production workflow.

Fox Renderfarm: Nice to meet you, Elena. Could you briefly introduce yourself?

Elena: I have been a producer of children’s animated projects for over six years. This year, I launched my own production center, Live and Create, where I develop children's projects. I've worked in the industry for a considerable part of my life, particularly on large-scale projects that require collaboration.

Fox Renderfarm: What has your experience with Fox Renderfarm been like?

Elena: When you have a significant amount, not just one frame but 10 or more minutes to render, it's essential to find a reliable partner to outsource to, someone who manages the render farms. Because if you manage it yourself, you’d have to hire a whole team to oversee the farms.

So that’s why we looked for partners, and Fox Renderfarm proved to be, I would say, an extremely great partner. They responded 24 hours a day. The prices were lower than we expected, especially compared to our market, and the service we received was much more than what we paid for.
