Marvelous Designer 12 Releases, the Newest Version of the 3D Clothing Design Tool

CLO Virtual Fashion released Marvelous Designer 12. This update is a milestone for Marvelous Designer, adding multiple key functions in clothing designing. Improvements are made on Animation Editor, enabling designers to retime and fix artifacts in simulations. Also, new styleline editing tools make it easier for designers to reshape their designs in 3D view and can immediately see the changes in the garment's flow. These changes help artists who are new to the industry to easily hop on to clothing design.

Another new feature worth mentioning is the automatic generation of a fitting suit for an imported character. Designers can select either OBJ or FBX file format to import. Click “Show Avatar Fitting Suit”, then designers can simulate the fitting suit on an avatar. Designers can also change an avatar under the same garment even if their body sizes are different.

The latest version for Marvelous Designer simplified the workflow of clothing design. It allows designers to simulate wind and create wind animations on a garment, demonstrating the effect of gravity. It is a ground-breaking software for 3D garment design.
