The director of Hereditary and Midsommar, Ari Aster, this time brings us a new surrealist horror film, Beau Is Afraid, which is scheduled to hit theaters on April 21, 2023. The film was co-produced and distributed by A24, and this is the third collaboration between Aster and the company.
The cast includes Joaquin Phoenix, Nathan Lane, Amy Ryan, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Zoe Lister-Jones, Armen Nahapetian, Parker Posey and Patti LuPone. The Academy Award winner Joaquin Phoenix stars as Beau, a paranoid man who embarks on a journey to visit his mother, but encounters many supernatural threats along the way.
